Human Resources

Human Resources (or HR as they are affectionately known) are the body of the university which deals with the administration associated with staff.  This includes, employment, contracts, and pensions amongst other things. HR’s main website has their contact details, links, and they’ve even provided us with a frequently asked questions document.  Each faculty has its own dedicated HR staff who are further sub-divided to cover one or more schools.  The HR staff members responsible for our school SEAES (in addition to Chemistry, Physics, Photon Science Institute, and Dalton Nuclear Institute) are:- Human Resources Manager  Phillip Ashcroft 65842 HR Assistant  Victoria Cooper 65849 Note that while research staff have 'fixed-term' contracts, the majority of HR policies for permanent staff are applicable to us as well.  For any queries about your own specific circumstances, Philip Ashcroft is your first port of call for any help or advice and is located in B9, Sackville Building (building 1 on campus map).  (Full contact details of all HR staff for other schools in the EPS faculty are listed here [requires university log in]). We’ve got several other pages tied to HR which are relevant to research staff:-
