Research Support Services

Research Support Services is a centralised body (analogous to the Staff and Student Support Office, or the Finance Hub) covering SEAES in addition to Chemistry and Physics.  Their purpose is to support the administrative and financial handling of research projects.  This includes helping to prepare for proposal applications (e.g. costings), and if funded, then support liaising with funders and with recruitment and contracts of new staff for the project.  If you intend to submit a proposal, it is highly advised you contact Research Support Services early so they can start helping you. They are located in the Chemistry Building, Room 4.20 (building 61 on campus map), and can be emailed.  They also have a contact sheet with further particulars about their structure and the staff.
